Nice case!

Could you fit a standard Micro-ATX mobo + ATX PSU in there? Case looks like a good breather, I'm talking quad processor here...
They even show you step-by-step how to gut it

Well, Micro ATX motherboards are specced at 244 x 244mm, though some are smaller. At that size, it's going to be very tight, and take a lot of modifications. The question is, do you have the tools to modify a Lian-Li case without great injustice and destructive force?
Lian-Li does make some very attractive PC cases, some of them quite small. I just don't see the point.

well, you'd have to really mod that stuff to fit in there. the mATX board wouldn't fit there anyway. an Xbox 360 doesn't have PCI slots, and it doesn't have the same ports (USB only).
the PSU would have to be Pico sized, and to be honest, with the right hardware, you should be able to use a 200W pico to power a quad, but the board would have to be ITX or something to have such a low power draw.

Are there even any mitx motherboards that support quad core? I immediately thought of the DG45FC, but it looks like Intel artificially limits that board to dual core. Probably out of heat concerns. Actually, if you could get by with a dual core processor, and don't need discrete graphics, that board should work in the Psile. In my eyes, that case is even more appealing. Hrm... damn, I think that's going to be my next project now.
All the other Intel based mitx boards I know of are for mobile CPUs.

This would be an ITX-Board supporting Core 2 Quad. The problem is, that it doesn't have standard socket 775 cooler mounting holes. So you'd be limited to some obscure tiny cooler with probably not more than a 40mm fan on it.

And yes, they did some really weird stuff for awhile, trying to innovate silence. They've always had some more normal cases (I love my A16), and their latest wave of high end cases look very interesting. My new A20 seems very promising.
I'm a big fan of Lian-Li too, I have an A17, very conventional compared to some of his other crazy designs. I haven't built it yet, dunno what to do with the 140mm fan on top. Normally I prefer very small cases, but surprisingly it's only 2" taller than my Silverstone TJ08
.
40mm My ears hate you already.tim851 wrote:http://www.advansus.com.tw/product/detail.asp?pid=183

Case-mount a real-sized fan and duct it [Mr.T]fool[/Mr.T]
