Antec solo and Prolima Megahalems OK?

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

Antec solo and Prolima Megahalems OK?

Post by Schlotkins » Thu Aug 27, 2009 10:56 am

I'm working on setuping up my new box. I am planning on getting the Antec solo and use a Prolima Megahalems for my heatsink. Anyone use this combination? I'm assuming the Prolima Megahalems, but we all know what assumption is.... :)

Thanks,
Chris

I just built my Solo with a Scythe Mugen 2 and it fit fine. The Mugen is 158mm high and the Megahalems is 0.7mm taller, so you should be fine.

Mine is the combination of Antec solo and Prolima Megahalems.

Whether it's actually ok also depends on the mothercard and the height of motherboard heatsink. Most motherboard heatsinks are not high enough to touch the lowest fin of the Prolima Megahalems. However, have a check of the height is recommended.

Also, motherboard itself is a factor worth considering. Please examine the layout and relative place of CPU heatsink.

You can ask Prolimatech whether the cooler is compatible with your motherboard. They are usually very prompt in getting back.
