Size comparison of Antec P150 and Mini P180

For anyone wondering about relative sizes:
The Mini P180 is slightly wider, almost identical in height, and about an inch shorter. (The Mini P180 is MicroATX, the P150 is full ATX.)

The MiniP180 looks and feels like it should be more durable.
Over the past three years I've had it, the P150's front panel power button cover broke, as did the front cover for the top CD-ROM drive 5.25".

Funny how mATX is getting bigger, literally.
Mini P183 is similar in size to a full ATX case. Just like the mATX Dell I just brought back to my friends house, about the same size as my Cooler Master Elite 330....
little surprised though, you have the towers on anti-static material?

haha, yes, the Mini P180 was sitting on the anti-static baggy from the motherboard for ease of maneuvering on the rug. i had just built the Mini P180 system so the baggy was convenient. I moved my current system in the P150 down to the floor for the comparison shots. It normally sits on my desk.

Thanks for the pictures. The size of the Mini P180 is the main reason I didn't get one. I can't justify losing the flexibility of a full ATX case without any reduction in size.

Yes, you do have a less flexible setup in that sense, but overall it's a much better case. The parts feel much more durable, there is much-improved cable management, and it's a pretty large uATX case to work inside.
And, on the upside, it can fit much longer GPUs than the P150 could, since the HD tray housings adjacent to the PCI-E slots are completely removable.
The biggest downside is along the lines of what you mentioned - it ONLY fits uATX so if I get rid of my P150, I'll be buying a new case again if my next board isn't uATX. But with trends the way they are today, uATX has a good future.

To me the biggest downside of the mini is the giant hole in the top.
I love the clean look of the P150, which is mostly what we use in my house. Fortunately I haven't had any of the switch or door problems. I wish the "Designer" version of the Solo was not so ridiculously expensive, but I assume that did not sell very well. I've got plenty of cases now anyway.
