I would like to create a custom made acrylic case for Gigabyte Brix Pro GB-BXi7-4770R. So, I'm looking for digital drawings for this case.
Maybe someone has already done it?
The noise and heat are a little bit annoying me.
I have never seen any other suitable case for this tiny PC (or am I wrong?), that's why I decided to make my own.

What's your concept for the case? As far as I can see, the Brix only has one moving part. Which happens to be the heatsink and therefore the culprit when it comes to excessive heat and noise. I doubt an acrylic case, of a similar size and design to the standard Brix case, would do any good in reducing heat and noise output. Have you considered replacing the heatsink?

What's your concept for the case?

The idea is to cut a hole on top of the acrylic case and install the Noctua NF-A9 PWM fan (http://goo.gl/3eCuAG) or NF-A8 PWM (http://goo.gl/LM2Gq1) instead of the original Everflow BB7515BU blower fan (http://goo.gl/yT8hk2).

At first I thought just to replace the fan, but I couldn't find any 75x75x15mm 4-wire blower with more than 12 CFM airflow like in the original Everflow fan. It would be the easiest way.

The second thing I thought was to cut a hole in the original case but due to the structure of the case I can’t realize how to drill the hole properly without damage. The case consists of metal inside and plastic outside (http://goo.gl/ErDQ4C).

The sad thing is that the Motherboard is not compatible with the NUC formfactor (http://goo.gl/V5S0wM) with a variety of NUC cases.

So I’m thinking about to find a digital drawings of this Brix Pro case and someone who can make it in acrylic.

Have you considered replacing the heatsink?

The heatsink in this system is unique. It is molded around the power button and some of the components (http://goo.gl/JBzUDE and http://goo.gl/S4MQgI). I'm not sure that I’ll find a similar heatsink with better heat irradiation.

If I don’t find some solutions I’ll have to sell my Gigabyte Brix Pro and buy the Intel NUC NUC5i7RYH (http://goo.gl/hMEOZV).
