New GPU for my FD Node 304

Hey peps,
I recently started considering that my 960 Strix might be due to retirement, so i have started looking for a new GPU.
I fell in love with the Asus 1660 Super, Strix. but then became aware that its with is 2 mm above the specs for my cabinet, a Fractal Design Node 304.
I would therefor hear if any of you have tried fitting a sligthly too wide GPU into a 304, and what your experience is.
Secondary, I would like to ask on experience with the Asus TUF 1660 Super card (sorry in advance admins, i'll make a seperate post in the GPU forum, if told so).
Any help would be greatly appriciated
