Coolest Case Evar!!!
Here's a new case that'll really flip your switch. Unfortunately they're not available yet but if you get a hold of Directron you can get your name at the top of what's sure to be a long list. Non-bling-bling fans need not apply.
I might buy 3 or 4......

Who cares. The outside is so hideous that I can't imagine someone actually using one.GamingGod wrote:has anyone seen the inside of one of these things?
Yes, you're right about the Alienware case but from the looks of the rear of this new copy it looks like it's built on some generic base with the fugly plastic cover added on top. Plus the new case has 5 external 5.25" bays and the good 'ol SX10x0/Dragon cases have only 4.Sledge wrote:I'm fairly sure that the Alienware case (and this) is basically a pimped-out Antec SX1000/Chenming Dragon/etc clone.
yeah, the alienware case is basically your chieftec dragon entry server casae with some added plastic asthetics that make it look a little more exotic. One thing to note: The "X" logo is incredibly similar to the XBOX "X" logo in shape ...hmmm.... calling all Microsoft Legal Team...
i bet alienware is going to switch the case design once again now that directron will be providing a case similar in design...i mean, their "hydraulic" cases w/ "Koolmaxx" were awesome until I found them on directron....then alienware switched to the chieftec cases only to learn that the chieftec became immensely popular and easy to buy....AND THEN alienware had their own bezel made for the chieftec body that said "ALIENWARE" along the side and had horizontal front grill louvres instead of the curvy chieftec ones that we are all familiar with, but the case still looked too similar to the chieftecs we could all buy from newegg and other retailers....and now the chieftec case with body add-ons...i wonder what's next...

He probably did mean Roscoe Az. I went to high school with Roscoe. He was always more concerned with how things looked rather than how they worked. As I recall he wound up marrying a beautiful girl who had killed three previous husbands. I haven't seen him in years.Cosine wrote:huh? do you mean Rozwell, NM?I walked

something about Roscoe, AZ.
Ugh... no thanks. I quite like my nice and simple Evercase 4252. I couldn't have a case with a curved top like that, how could I stack things on it? And probably wouldn't be as comfortable as a footrest either.
Then again, I don't care for all the windowed stuff either. Probably cuz I've got all my systems stacked under the desk. A friend has his on top of the desk, and he's just nuts about the windows, lights, and doo-dads.

It bears a striking resemblance to Great Aunt Mtsplyk, who everybody said was the great beauty of the hive. S/he was exactly that delicate shade of yellow too.
But, come to think of it, she had only one exhaust fan...
Still, the family resemblance is remarkable.
