Stanford servers down?

Post by JanW » Mon Aug 29, 2005 5:35 am

Seems like there is no way for me to send work to stanford (or to get work from them) right now. I have two WU's sitting here for almost 12 hours now, computers idling.

And the worst thing is: until they fix it, I'll be stuck at 99.992 points

Server status page: http://vspx27.stanford.edu/serverstat.html

You should be able to find the IP addy of the server in your log file and then check it's status.

Thanks for the info Pete! (I have it bookmarked now)

The only problem is: vspx27.stanford.edu doesn't respond either. Everything else seems normal on my end...

http://vspx27.stanford.edu gets a redirect page that then goes to http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/folding/ for me...

Seems like the network is saturated somewhere between them and me. I was now able to see the first line of the server stats page before the connection timed out... I'll try to be patient, my WU's are bound to go through at some time. I guess they're checking if I really merit membership to the 100.000 points club...
