Three Milestones
Hey everyone,
I haven't been involved since the beginning, but it has still been amazing to watch how much our team has grown. We've recently reached or will soon reach three milestones.
The first milestone is that we recently reached 100 active members, although the current count at Extremeoverclocking is 99. That should be back above 100 for good soon.
The second milestone is that we're about to hit 2,000,000 points. We are again racing against Team MacOS X, but this time we should beat them by a good margin.
The third milestone is that, with just a little more growth, we will be cranking out 100,000 points a week.
As little as a few months ago, I thought it might be difficult for us to move beyond the mid-20s in the team rankings. Now it looks like we could be in the top 20 with some additional modest growth.
Way to go to everyone in the team!

QUICK, Everyone sign up to be the 100th active member!!!
WP is on his toes, while I have been sleeping and took no notice of these impending milestones. Good catch WP. It would have been a shame to see these milestone pass without anyone even noticing!
Team SPCR has 1,974,060.88 total points. We have produced 97K points in the past week, 13.7K in the past 24 hours. With just 26K points to go, we should hit 2 Million points this Sunday, noon or after, GMT.
Check out our numbers re: Team MacOS X. We a SO CLOSE to matching pace with them, and therefore staying ahead of them. It may be inevitable, but I for one intend to postpone the "inevitable" as long as possible!!!

It's for a good cause. Maybe you can carry us for awhile until a few more folks pitch in, and then back off enough to remove the ear protection.lenny wrote:I've brought back online two dual proc Xeons sitting behind me at work. To silence them I had to resort to a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pro...
Yeah, I'd say that ought to help a little.miker wrote:I just added 5 machines today. 2 of which are dual-proc xeons. That should add some horsepower.
Every wee bit helps.wgragg wrote:I hope to add as many as 5 p3's next week. Not a big number of points, but will help over the long term.

We topped 2 Million points today, our Last Week Points is over 100K according to Arachnid, and I predict we will hit 100 active members within the next 24 hours. Surely one of "the new guys" will finish a WU, and be added to the "Active Members" count.
This isn't a Milestone, but SPCR has the highest percentage of active users of the top 50 teams. A loyal bunch.

Because our pc's are actually quiet enough that we don't mind leaving it on 24/7. Also with our superior seasonic electricity saving psu's and less power hungry and more efficient cpu's videocards and fans (a 120mm 59db 190cfm delta uses 26 WATTS on its own at 12v!!) we spend less than the competition on electricity. I would not feel very loyal to a overclocking website that actually encouraged my machine to be MORE WHINY.haysdb wrote:We topped 2 Million points today, our Last Week Points is over 100K according to Arachnid, and I predict we will hit 100 active members within the next 24 hours.
