talking about finland,
Lordi - Hard rock Hallelujah,
Now feel free to bash the eurovision contest, but without it, we would never had Celine Dion or Abba ... umh, thinking back about that ...

I wont bash the ESC, im just saying it doesn´t really mean much to me personally. Though i have to admit i did enjoy this years ESC, obviously
Btw. its the first time ever Finland has scored higher than the UK
If we are going to do it let´s do it properly i suppose..
Oh and that "rub it in" thing was for the Canadians who were brutally defeated by Finland in the bronze-game in hockey

Pfft, sorry, that has no effect for me, as my team is currently in process of tearing it up in the real tournament, teh Stanley Cup. (They just eliminated a team backstopped by one Vesa Toskala, sound familiar?)

That it is! If you haven't heard their stuff already, I'd recommend Godspeed You Black Emperor. They're awesome!

I must say that I've never associated Jodrell Bank (site of a very large radio telescope a few miles outside Manchester) with live music. You learn something new every day!

Bizzar! I used to go on school trips there. Used to think it was actually quite interesting, though that may just have been because it meant I didn't have to go to school..

They're lined up as part of a 10 GB post-rock-instrumental music share from a friend that I'm in the midst of listening to

What? i thought this thread was for boosting your post count and boasting about listening to music noone else heard of, the more obscure the better.
Listening to: Fud Machine - live in Chernobyl.
