I've been having posting problems with the latest Firefox version. If I uninstall the prog, and reinstall, will I loose bookmarks? Just how do you manually save or transfer bookmarks?

Foxmarks! The best extension EVER!
Especially if you have more than one PC.

Or you could start using something like del.icio.us too.

I use a program called mozbackup which backs up all the settings and bookmarks whenever you like. Also works for thunderbird and the mozilla suite, so I use it to archive emails regularly. Similarly it backs up the email account settings and such.

You can also copy the whole user profile while you're at it: it's the folder with a string of random letters, in linux it's in ~/.mozilla/firefox/, in windows it's probably somewhere in C:\Documents and settings\username\Application whatever\Mozilla or something.

My vote goes here as well. It's a simple utility for storing all this info to one file. Customize what exactly you want to save by checkmarking it in the list.
