The cached version works for me.

Battlefield 1942 - constant popping/crackling,

Battlefield 2 - some users report popping/crackling and other issues...

Crysis - had a few minor sound stutters here and there,

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition - when enabled certain sounds is missing or silent. The game over video sequence is choppy with no sound. Missing music in some sections of the game.

Driver: Parallel Lines - Audio stuttering every now and again, while doing handbrake corners or watching curscenes,

F.E.A.R. Combat - no hardware acceleration,

F.E.A.R./Extraction Point/Perseus Mandate - dialogs and music often disappear, EAX 4.0 is unavailable,

GRID - hardware acceleration is unavailable,

GTA San Andreas - odd audio cutoffs, especially when the vehicles change gears,

GTA Vice City - odd audio cutoffs, especially when the vehicles change gears,

Infernal - BSOD with GX enabled and disabled. I think it's driver problem because right after I bought DX, I think I played Infernal, and everything was fine. But I had older drivers then,

Mass Effect - no music and dialogs,

Oblivion - crash on start up with DS3D enabled,

Splinter Cell: Double Agent - no hardware acceleration,

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl - no sound at all with DS3D GX 2.0 enabled,

Test Drive Unlimited - pop sounds while racing online with multiple people,

Tom clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - dialogs, bullet sounds, character sounds dissapear.
Sound actions activated by player are repeated, cut off and stutter.

It doesn't matter now, I settled for a X-Fi.

I just got my X-Fi. I can't really say I can tell the difference between it and my HD Soundmax onboard sound. Maybe it was that good :?

Maybe I'll try some EAX games to see if I can see the difference.

Thanks for all the input.
