I had a hard drive crash last week and although most of the data was backed up, I can't find backups of some important files. It's a physical problem and will likely require the services of a company that can open the drive case in a clean room.
Can any one recommend a service that they've had personal experience with in a similar situation (or any companies to avoid)? I'm in New York, so location should be limited to the US. Speed of recovery is not critical, but I'd like to keep the price within reason.
FYI, it was a 3-year old Samsung HD300LD and only the second physical crash that I've had in 15 years.
