How do you silence a front apartment door?

I have this front door that I want to seal off. I've attached a couple images.

Currently, there's some sort of black seal around the left, right, and top edges, but I don't think it helps much to keep the sound away. The bottom has a horizontal gap about half an inch high.

I thought about using a door sweep, but those are mostly for containing weather, not noise.

Does anyone here have experience with such sound proofing or perhaps know what recording studios use for doors that could perhaps be applied to an apartment front door?

A U-shaped door sweep will block most of the noise.

how about a picture of the threshold?

a rolled up towel has worked in many motels ive stayed in with similar issues, a more permanent one made of foam would probably do a decent job.

I just tried the towel trick and it didn't seem to help too much.

It probably isn't too big of an issue since these noises just last for a few seconds and then completely disappear. I could also potentially run into Homeowners Association regulation issues for modifying aspects of the door.

The only time the door becomes an issue is really at night when I'm sleeping. I might just invest in some high quality ear plugs and call it a day.
