perhaps cisc can get higher performance than risc


but intel cisc cannot touch arm risc low power consumption which is what apple probably wants along with full control over the entire ecosystem

will u buy an apple arm ?

it would run windows under emulation

so debate risc vs cisc risc lower power consumption for mobile and easier to engineer new designs faster market

Thinner, lighter, quieter and more efficient is their goal. Apple also seems to have a goal of engineering as much hardware in-house as they can.

It will be interesting to see how ARM processors handle professional tasks, but a well-made ARM processor can handle most consumers needs overall.
