RTX 3060 comes in a 12GB variant, RTX 3080 has 10GB and 12GB versions, RTX 3080 Ti is 12GB.

Thanks, I had only been looking at 3060 and 3070 cards so far. 3080 cards still seem pretty expensive.

Asus Strix OC V2 in the Quiet BIOS setting is probably the best of the 3060's.

Thanks. The TPU review is for the Ti version. I tend to prefer 2 fans, but maybe with 3 fans at lower RPM it might be quieter, not sure.

That's definitely the price point I'm looking for ($500 - $600 CDN). I'm still deciding whether to get a 3060 Ti or a 3060 with more memory. Or wait to see what the 4060s are like. I'm trying to balance the best performance and memory, with lowest heat/noise and power draw. I don't game, and my uses are going to be about 80% web surfing and 20% productivity (i.e. video editing, MS Office, 3D modelling). So idling specs are also important (if web surfing is considered idling?).

You might look for benchmark reviews that use the video editing and 3D modeling tools you use and see if there is an appreciable difference in performance for the Ti and non-Ti versions. Everything else you listed is effectively idling.
