I am yet to install this card - However I have the following question:
The manual says to connect one of the power cable to hdd and the other end to the psu. Now I have a sata hdd and hence the power cable is different. So my question is:
Question 1
Is it mandatory to connect the 9800 pro aiw power cable to the hdd? Can the hdd power be powered by some other power cable?
Question 2
I have audigy zs platinum as well - I would like to use
this sound card as my default - How do I disable the sound aspect of 9800 pro aiw - The manual kind of says to route the line out of the vga to the line in of the zs platinum sound card! Is this right?

#1 Plug any of the correct size molex power connectors into the AIW 9800 Pro.
#2 The AIW 9800 Pro does not control any internal sound. However, it does not pass audio via the system at all, you MUST connect it to the sound card in some way in order to get sound out of your TV applications. DVD you can use the SPDIF out connection from the AIW to pass right to your audio decoder box if you speakers have them, however this feature is broken in Multimedia Center so it does not work correctly anyway.
