Parhelia -- passive cooling possible?

Hello:

I'm wondering if it would be possible to use a passive HS on a Parhelia 128MB Retail? Has anybody got any experience with this? The stock HS is pretty darn small, and the small fan makes quite a bit of noise...

TIA

To answer my own question -- Yes!

Hello:

To answer my own question, the Zalman ZM80C-HP cooler does a fine job cooling the Parhelia in an Antec SLK3700-BQE. The stock fan (at either 5v or 7v) and a Fortron 120mm PS move more than enough air to run it passively. The heatpipe definitely works -- the back/top HS gets as warm as the front/bottom one that is in contact with the chip. The chip has a "heat spreader" BTW and with a little twisting the *tiny* stock HS came right off... :P
