Is there software to monitor VGA Temp?

Post by villa_joe » Fri Aug 06, 2004 8:33 pm

Does someone make software to monitor VGA temps?

I am looking for something that I can download until I get my sensors.

I heard of some pluggins for motherboard monitor that do this, but most were designed for nvidia cards. I'm under the impression that usually if your card can monitor temps, it'll come with software than can do so. If not, maybe you could attach a temperature sensor to it, my motherboard for example has two extra temperature sensor slots, I think.

SpeedFan claims to have some sort of support for nVidia cards.

Cheers,

It may not be as fancy but most ATIs have a built in monitor. If you go under the advanced settings one of the tabs, on my 9600XT it is on the OVERDRIVE tab, will display the temp.

Hope it helps.

ChucuSCAD - I have the all in wonder 9600XT. I don't have a Overdrive tab in my advanced settings. I read this on the ATI website today and tried to find a download for it, but never found it on their web site.

Overdrive is only for some cards, for some reason (eg x800 XT PE but not Pro). Have you tried ATITool? It's normally used for overclocking, but that also happens to be the only convenient way I've found to see my temp.
