Without doubt, the fanless 6600GT AGP will be a hot seller.

That price is in NZD right? :?: 440 NCD would be 305 USD, or 230 EUR.. Not that expensive, but still more expensive than any 6600GT here in Finland. though a passive cooler is always a bonus, if its enough to keep the card cool..

Yes, the price ($445) is in New Zealand Dollar (NZD). Please bear in mind that most hardware in New Zealand are much more expensive then USA or Europe due to its remoteness and low population. I doubt the GV-N66T128VP will cost more than USD $250 in USA or Europe.

I wonder if it comes with a DVI to VGA adapter?
It's the only way I can connect this card in a dual monitor setup.

I purchased mine today, should receive it by Friday. I'm from Australia and I paid AUD $357.50 incl GST (tax). I'll post some benchies and pics by this weekend.

I bought it from my local store: http://www.simline.com.au

Last time I checked it wasn't listed on their website but earlier I called Patrick from Simline and he has ordered me one. I was informed that it was going to take 1-2 days but I think 3-4 days is more likely.

I got my fanless Gigabyte GV-N66T128VP yesterday and would like to share some info for those who are interested in having a fanless 6600GT in their system. This card is factory overclocked and it overclocks well too. I do not underclock, yet temps are cool.

Test system:
Shuttle SB61G2 v3
P4 3.4GHz Northwood
Ballistix 1GB PC3200
WD Raptor SATA 74GB
ForceWare 71.84 WHQL

Room temp: 30° C
GPU clock: default @ 500MHz/1.12GHz

Idle temp: 61° C
After 1 hour gaming: 76° C
After 1 hour rthdribl: 87° C

** Temps are ~5° C cooler if I underclock **

3DMark03 (600MHz/1.18GHz): 9672 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=3807897

3DMark05 (600MHz/1.18GHz): 4046 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=683839

Overall, I'm very happy with this card.

For the Americans in the house... http://www.milwaukeepc.com/ListParts.asp?PTID=29&Page=7

I'm worried that the picture shows a card with fan... :? And I've never used or heard of this place before.

Anyone have any clue where this card can be purchased in Canada from a reputable/well known store?

Does anyone know how quiet the gigabyte 6800GT version with the fan (GV-N68T256DH-N) will be?

EDIT: did a search and realized this is not quiet and many people are reporting high temps.
Think I'll try the gigabyte 6800 (GV-N68128DH) instead.

Thanks... I'm getting a GV-NX66T128VP on thursday (I hope), I guess there's little difference between the cards, except for the bus.
I was a bit worried by the temps, we'll have to see how cool it stays in a SLK3000B :?

Sweet. I sent in about 12 product request for newegg to stock this card. Soon other suppliers will carry it and the price will hopefully drop.

BTW what is up with this
System requirements: Intel Pentium 4 Prescott class processor or higher (LGA775 processor package) or AMD Sempron/Athlon
They make it seem incompatible with the northwood core but I know that is untrue from a few post' up.

-- Just to let know our UK forum members that Fastekcomputers is selling this card for £115.00 (inc vat). This is the cheapest price that I have seen for this card on the net.

Grrr.... People actually have a choice of stores in the UK, Australia and even New Zeland and it's impossible to find one of these in Canada.

I don't want to order one from a US store. It's too much trouble. :(

Hehe, they phoned me up. Apparently they hadn't dispatched mine yet and are expecting the correct model tuesday/wednesday from gigabyte. They use next day delivery, so should be here before the weekend.

For Canada- NCIX.COM seems to list it but it's out of stock? Maybe contact them?

Please let me know what they respond with. :)

NCIX has had the passive 6800 listed for a couple months, but it's yet to be in stock. I called them a while back and asked them for an ETA, and they said they couldn't give me one unless I had an order number. I wasn't inclined to give them 400 bucks just so they could tell me it was backordered indefinitely.

I've been searching for a Canadian vendor for the 6600GT, but have had no luck so far. If anyone finds a source, I'd love to hear about it.

Unfortunately, we have not been given an estimate on these cards from either our suppliers or the manufacturer. If these should come available, this will then be updated on our web site automtically. Thanks for your interest in NCIX.com!
