I looked but did not see a fan swap on a Zalman VF700

They make noise, too.

Has anyone out there done this yet if so please do share, or are these so quite it isn't worth doing?

Yes I'm interested to know too. At 5V is it quieter than a Zalman 7000 at 5V?
