any retail heatsink/heatpipe kit for radeon 7500AIW cards?

They make noise, too.

any retail heatsink/heatpipe kit for radeon 7500AIW cards?

posted in http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewto ... 3&start=60 before then thought about it and decided to ask here about if there were any retail kit for them (not the ones for the newer 9x00-series cards) or not really?

I know that 20+W might not be much but then the agp slot is next to pci and I need to be able to keep the pci slot so direct heatsink attachment is way out of the question *grins*

thanks

I've got two AIW 7500 cards in use.....maybe three years without any concerns. The stock heatsink is very difficult to remove because of the adhesive TIM. I think a small amount of airflow in the general direction of the card is sufficient, if that even.

I also have an AIW 8500....it does run hotter than the 7500. But I unplugged the fan on it and ran it for a year or so with a small amount of airflow directed at it.

hmm makes me wondering how useless the fan must be for a 'I know how to cool down things and to tell when its too hot' person.

maybe when I get around to it I'll pull the fan power cable out for some time and see how it is like afterward.

thanks anyhow to both of you
