Stupid f***ers don't know how to make good things - none of their products is good. Their advertising is crap too.

There's more into the world than black and white. And "none" is quite a strong and finite expression. Actually, there's at least one Thermaltake product which is very good for silencers.

It's probably better, at least heat-wise, as it has two heatpipes. I can't speak for its quietness which I doubt exists

That heatpipe idea is a good idea; I've been wondering why Arctic Cooling didnt have the faith in their originally and clever design, and took it to the next level. So things might turn out, that ThermalTake actually is the clever boys here

They did implement that on the X1950XTX cooler, only one heatpipe though. Too bad they didn't spruce it up and sold it to retail. At least I think it was AC who made the X1950XTX cooler, correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe it was Thermaltake!

I dont know who invented, or more correctly, evolved this version. However, it's Thermaltake, which have the guts to marketing it... So from my point of view, not all Thermaltake marketing is "crap"...

But you are right, rpsgc, it's the level of noise which matters. I hope Thermaltake have used better fans, than Arctic Cooling did. Maybe there's a hope, at least one of the Thermaltake fans is on the Nexus level 8)

The x1950xtx cooler more resembles the HIS iceq3, with a different fin design on the fan. Who knows though, that cooler, this thermaltake, and the iceq3 are eirily similar.

Super silent? Lol.

I have the stock 12cm LED fans on their Armour case, they claimed it was 17dB. However, even 5V they are the major source of noise in my quiet system now.

On the other hand the fan which comes with the Big Typhoon is on par with the Nexus Real Silent 12 cm.

I swear ive seen that kind of graph before (the one with thermal resistance and sone measurements)

Ahh yes

If youre ripping off a company, you might as well rip off how they display their product specs

I know its only for cpu coolers, but come on, when was the last time you saw TT measure something in "sone"?

however, that said, if it performs good and its cheap, i'd give it a shot

In this crazy world of OEM PC components - I'd not be surprise if this Tt unit is made by AC or AC's OEM factory. :)

If this is true, then I'm sure Tt made sure their fans have more fins, as we all know more fins is always better... :D
