hi all,

Well, i have just fitted an arctic accelero 2 to my 7300 gs, which, as advertised as compatible on many websites (but not he packaging of the product!) doesnt seem to fit very well, and i'm a little concerned about my temps.

according to nvidia controll panel, its idling at 65-70C, but when gaming shot up to 105C after only 3 minutes!

i have a nzxt hush case (bad choice i know) with a standard 120mm front intake fan, so airflow is not ideal.

i'm thinking of putting the old heatsink back on the card, can anyone recommend a decent fan? or hsf combo for it?

noise is my main concern, hence the choice of accelero, but of course card life and safety are paramount.

zalman vf-700 @5v or even 7v can be very quiet and cool a lot better than many passive coolers

galaxy has it default on their 7300GT

if you want, you can get an all copper one, copper/aluminum, or all aluminum...

i would get the half n' half one as the 7300GS won't need heavy cooling.

i bought that very thing on the weekend.
doesnt fit the 7300 gs unfortunately.
did try to mod it, but wont fit : (

or is the fan too big for the card? clearance issues?

could only get clearance by facing it in a direction that meant i could only mount in one hole, not 2, so not very secure.

has anyone used one of these?

no, but it is with the 7600. is there a lot of difference? i guess so...

yeah, 7600GT mounting is different than 7300GS

i'm guessing most of the low end cards, such as your 7300GS won't have any good aftermarket coolers, only those simple aluminum block+40mm fan contraptions...
