Sparkle Gtx 560 Calibre eta?

Post by falcon26 » Sat Feb 12, 2011 1:33 pm

Does anyone have an ETA for the Sparkle Gtx 560 Calibre? The one with the Artic Cooling Twin Turbo Pro on it? It was announced like a month ago but nothing in the retail channels yet...

Actually no I am not :-( I just noticed that is makes the dreaded capacitor squeal while gaming and a nice crunching noise as well. Its going back. That sparkle one would be perfect I think. Problem is I can't find a single piece of information on when its coming out. I may end up getting a stock Gtx 560 and then buying the artic cooling twin turbo pro and putting it on myself. I wanted to avoid that, but it may be awhile before the sparkle card is out and I would need a new card by the end of this week...

I can get that one now. They have it here in the states for $249. But I've heard its not that quiet....

Nor it should be the Calibre (there's a review floating around somewhere in the web, very good temps, very high noise IIRC).

However, here the Calibre series has been always very difficult to find: I mean you might do better going with the aftermarket AC, if in case.
