Fanspeed troubles on 580GTX

Post by tanassi » Mon Oct 10, 2011 9:50 am

I've recently purchased a KFA2 Anarchy 580GTX. Love the card, it's silent at idle and comfy at load. Or should I say, it was silent at idle.... For some reason the minimum fanspeed % is now 20%. It used to be 10% because I flashed the card's BIOS. That worked like a charm for a while, setting a nice silent curve with MSI afterburner.

This is very annoying because I can now hear the fan at idle. 20% is way too high, 10% is enough, as the card only hits 30C with that.

Does anyone have a clue why the minimum suddenly bumped up to 20%, without doing anything? I've updated both drivers and Afterburner when trying to solve it, and I've even reflashed the card. But to no use :(

What should i do?
