Do Dell Ultrasharps whine?

Getting really annoyed with my Asus monitor whining on text browser / PDF / Word etc applications. I have tried the "brightness mod" and no avail.
I have also been thinking of upgrading my monitor lately, I use my PC 8 hours a day sometimes more so it is quite important and the extra room would be nice.
Dell just came out with a SUPERULTRAMEGAWIDE 49" https://www.scan.co.uk/products/49-dell ... dmi-dp-usb
And of course there's the "normal" 38" https://www.scan.co.uk/products/375-del ... 300cd-m2-7
Wondering if these are likely to whine? Thanks
