Adding a cooling fan to my fanless GPU

Post by silentgamer » Thu Jan 30, 2020 5:10 am

Hello to all,

I am new to this forum and I need some help.

My GPU is a fanless Zotac nVidia GT 520 Zone Edition , and I would like to add a cooling fan to it.

I would please you to send me a good step by step video tutorial ,where it is explained how to I remove the GPU,add the cooling fan to it,connect the fan to the PSU and then put my GPU back.

Also please tell me which dimensions should the fan have ?

Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to SPCR.

This card is 9 years old and low performance when it first came out. Chances are your CPU has better integrated graphics...

What's your CPU? Maybe you can just use that.

If the rest of the computer is as old as the graphics card my recommendations, short of getting a new computer, would be to:
First open the computer and blow it clean from dust. (I assume the problem is "high temperatures" and dust buildup is likely the problem.)
If cleaning isn't sufficient, get a better case fan.
