Do i need ram sinks for 9800Xt?

They make noise, too.

Do i need ram sinks for 9800Xt?

I am about to build a comp for my friend and he wanted a radeon 9800Xt. And what i was thinking was use a zalman zm80-c w/ the optional fan. Will the ram be ok? Will i need to get some ramsinks or will the airflow from the fan be enough?

With the fan blowing across you should never have a problem keeping that ram cool as long as you have some case airflow. If you were going to put a waterblock on it and overclock the card to its limits than maybe you might look into some ramsinks.
