need a triddr3 that will fit u12p horizontal inp183 maybe OC

Post by anaturelover » Sun Jul 01, 2012 6:22 pm

HI dear friends made a new post any p183 /noctua expert outthere?

made a new topic since I wonder if whiy there are no 16gig kit for trichannel.. is it 12g then 24 gig? if so i choose 12g

HI have a antect p183 with p6t deluxe v2
I prefer my :o noctua u12p to be horizontal :o (cause I think I could put the aiflow vertical too)

ok please note that I think I need trichannel ddr3 . Could anyone help me select the best ddr3 for gaming(and multiple vm.
I might overclock later on later.... THAT will FIT"""

first It needs to fit in my rig,
second I want best performance
third, Sileeeence is important

I have a ok budjet (I can pay them all exect the 196$), silence and performance are prioritys. (corsair or gskill seems to have a good reputation.)

can you help me choose among thoses I have no clue about timing OC and stuff.

also is it possible eventually to add another 12g even if memory has different timmings
appreciate

I also have this videocard:
896-P3-1255-AR - eVGA GTX 260 CORE 216 55NM 576MHZ 896MB 1.998GHZ GDDR3 PCI-E 2XDVI-I HDTV OUT

You already posted this before. Any reason why you are posting again?

Hi, you have an Intel s1366 based PC and these CPUs have triple channel memory controller. That is it can access 3 DIMMs at once for best performance. Your motherboard has 6 slots you should be filled with one or two sets of 3 DIMMs. For example someone might have started with 3x2GB (6GB total) and later upgraded by adding 3x4GB for 18GB total. This example is optimal for performance. You can put memory in not in sets of 3 and it will work; just slower performance as will only read/write 1 or 2 DIMMs at a time. IIRC the difference between dual channel and triple channel is small unless using a hex (6) core CPU and working it very hard.

16 does not come from any multiple of 3 hence why you can't have 16GB triple channel kit! you could have 3x4 + 3x1 = 15GB or 3x4 + 3x2 = 18GB. The max you can have is 6x4GB = 24GB, I don't think 8GB (each) DIMMs will work at all.

I would suggest DDR3 1600 RAM is fast enough and not worth trying for faster speed so just get "basic" memory of that speed with no or simple heat sink to clear under your CPU cooler and good to go. If you have to you can cut the fins on the CPU cooler. Do NOT cut / bend the heatpipes or they will stop working!

TR3X3G1600C8D - CORSAIR TR3X3G1600C8D XMS3 DOMINATOR 3GB DDR3 3X1GB DDR3-1600 CL 8-8-8-24 TRIPLE CHANNEL MEMORY KIT

could you or anyone tell me wich would fit for sure with my noctua horizontal?from ne newegg.ca link in intro?

I have no clue about timming thing, my 3x1g seems to be 888 what will happen if the 12g kit has a different timing? anxiety lol

I wonder how to place them , in wich order in the slots also
I appreciate that
