I wouldn't spend more money on a 12 year old CPU platform.

Here's a couple of benchmark comparisons for your current i7-920 and GTX 260.

Passmark CPU score compares your CPU vs the Haswell i5 in the HP SFF and the Ryzen 3 3200G.

Passmark GPU score compares your GTX 260 vs the integrated gfx in the same two CPUs.

Either provides a big bump in CPU horsepower for a fraction of the power used. On the GPU-side, the integrated Intel has a lower score than your GPU and the AMD is higher. However, they both have a bunch of innovations and hardware accelerators that will make them faster for video editing as well as having much newer implementations of DirectX and also using watts of power for the graphics rather than 180W.

I'm still using a Haswell CPU as it meets my needs (browsing, MS Office, Photoshop, gaming). Of the used systems, the HP you listed seems the best. You might add more RAM if limited in Windows+editing.

The Ryzen w/ integrated gfx are nice as well..and gives you a current gen platform to build around.
Really comes down to $'s you want to spend.

See above. I don't recommend any more $'s spent on the existing CPU platform. It's obsolete and power hungry.

Figure out what your budget really is and then we can go from there.

Here's a cut at it @ pcpartpicker.
USD pricing
**CPU** | [AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor] | $149.99 @ Best Buy
**Motherboard** | [Asus PRIME B450M-A/CSM Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard]| $79.99 @ Newegg
**Memory** | [Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory] | $63.99 @ Newegg
| *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* |
| **Total** | **$293.97**

You can drop down to the Ryzen 3 3200G for $55 less but you get a nice bump in CPU and GPU performance w the 5 3400G.

The Asus mobo has a nice variety in connectivity. You have to spend more if you want USB C on the back panel and an Intel ethernet NIC and better audio codec. But this is a good baseline.

I priced out 16GB of RAM as it's only $25 more than 8GB..and video editing can consume RAM. This specific RAM is listed on Asus' qualified vendor list.

A couple of other thoughts:
- if you aren't comfortable with debugging PC builds, and want to toss the large case, you might consider a new small form factor PC. AMD's awesome Ryzen 4xxxU should be showing up in some Asus mini PCs in the next month.
- I used a B450 mobo in the component list. The B550 series is out. But, it's brand new and will take a few months for bugs/updates to settle down. Also, not compatible with 3xxxG series processors. the 4xxxG series are probably a fall release. (AMD opted to release the laptop 4000H and U parts first).

tx for your research, how would you argue for or against this possibility and a 4590 processor and mobo used for i dont know maybe 130 usd? (i can use my old memory i think ddr3).

for: it's cheaper

against: it's used. That said, my current mobo was bought used. It's a 6 year old platform. Still should work fine w Windows 10. Couldn't say more w/o knowing the model number.

In all honesty, unless you are trying to save a lot, you can build a todays pc cheap with ryzen, specially if you do editing it could help you invest a little more and get something that its up to date.

I'd keep the PSU, case and optical reader. (It's the same that I actually have!)
Get new motherboard (B450 or B550 based, see below), 2x8 GB 3,200 MHz RAM, 1 TB SATA SSD.
As for CPU/graphics I see two options:
1. A Ryzen APU (3000G or better) that you expect to keep for at least a couple of years.
2. An Athlon 2x0GE now, to be replaced with an even better (4000-series) APU (or CPU plus discrete graphics) (with)in about a year.

1. They have the features you need/want.
2. Allows you to do a significant upgrade within the next two years, if desired/needed.

A bit more thought point straight at the B450, since most B550 won't support the suggested CPU.

As Steve pointed out above: It's an old platform! You'll overspend on a dead end with very low performance!
My suggested options will give you better price/performance.
