A radiator THAT huge, with FIVE(!!!!!) 120mm fans, which hopefully can be swapped out for nexuses, and hopefully a pump that can provide the amount of power necessary to cool well... *drool*

That's like, the ULTIMATE external WC I've ever seen *drool*... it's like a super sized EXOS (EXOS V, you hearing me Koolance?!! ;P)

If you like a big radiator you should check out this one:

Don't know if it's avaiable in the USA but it's very popular in Germany. It performs very well, especially passive. When it's not enough you can mount 9 12cm fans =)

About the Thermaltake one, perhaps the fans are Yate Loons like the fan included with the Big Typhoon. Then there would be no need to swap the fan.

As a Reserator user who would like to move up to a dual video card / FX CPU system in the future this looks intriguing. It definitely looks like a huge upgrade in cooling capacity.

But somehow I suspect that Thermaltake + 2 pumps + 5 fans does not = silent. Quiet maybe. But silent? Even reworked with 5 Nexus fans, I suspect not....

What, only 5 fans? :p

403mm x 618mm x 51mm, space for 15 120mm fans... per side. Bloody expensive of course, but I'd love to have it for passive water cooling.

that rad reminds me of one fo those ford van heatercores that can fit 5 120mm fans.

I'm running 4 Yate Loon 120mm fans (faster version of the Nexus 120) in an external rad box, and it's not silent. They're all plugged into a Nexus fan controller at the lowest setting, and while it's very quiet, it's a far cry from silent. That thing is going to make some noise with 5 fans.

The radiator, for anyone interested, is a modified Derale copper transmission cooler (the aluminum turbulators were removed at the factory). It's big enough to fite all 4 fans directly to the front of the radiator, though I have them mounted several inches away in the box.

All that water and the guy only loaded it for 30 min at a time? No wonder it cooled well. 280 bucks and you still need to buy 5 Nexus fans and probably a new pump? I'll stick to undervolting my Athlons instead of getting a monster of a cooler to cool a moster of a space heater processor.
