Thanks for the review lawrance. Nice to see another Scythe get the editors choice, i still feel the Kotetsu is better buy because of its performance and price.

Great article as always!
I'm surprised the Kotetsu keeps its edge after a year or so, more so considering its size and price.

Perhaps my old and trusty NH-U12P needs a replacement ;)

just did a search for the Scythe Kotetsu that we couldn't get when SPCR first reviewed it.

http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=FAN-SKIT1K $42 US
http://www.outletpc.com/ly8755-scythe-k ... ooler.html $46 US
http://www.rakuten.com/prod/scythe-sckt ... 10414.html $50 US

seems like it is plenty available in the US now.
.
Please put a country in your profile if you haven't already.
This site is international but I'll assume you are in the US if you don't tell me otherwise.

As noted on page 6, the fan on the Deepcool unit has the support struts angled in exactly the wrong direction. This will cause more noise than if they were angled the other direction, so they didn't cause as big an interruption in the air flow, each time a blade passes a strut.
Sincerely, Neil
