I'm about to order this new system and I'm wondering if the case/psu combo is appropriate for these components quietly:
Antec P180 case
Antec Phantom 350 psu
AMD 3800 x2 (with Sonic Tower Fanless Heatpipe)
Asus A8N-SLI Premium (no chip set fan)
GeForce 7800 GT (with Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5, warm air blows directly out the back)
OCZ 2048MB PC3200
1 WD 76 GB Raptor
DVD burner
Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic
Thanks!
New system, will this Krakatoa?

A Scythe Ninja will work better as a passive CPU heatsink, it's fins are more spaced out which is very helpful in low airflow environments.
Do you plan to use a fan in the lower chamber to cool the Phantom? I would recomend it. The stock Tricool down there is reasonable, but in most situations, a (considerably quieter) Nexus at 5 or 7v would be enough.
And Welcome to SPCR, 9000rpm!

Thanks for the welcome and the info on the Scythe Ninja. I was planning on using the P180's lower and rear fans, and hopefully avoid using the top fan. Yes, I am aware that the Nexus is closer to silent and I would probably use 2, three if necessary, if I can get them in Canada.
I guess I'm a little concerned about the Phantom fanless ps in the P180. I haven't seen anyone use this obvious combo and I wonder if I'm missing an incompatibility.

Actually,if there is no fan very near the CPU (or a duct) a Scythe NCU 2005 may be even a bit better than a Ninja. Look for a PSU with a 140mm Yate Loon. Why spend more on a pssive PSU and then have 2 or 3 case fans? Coolmax and at least 1 other PSU have the 140,which on slow is 1000 rpm, pretty quiet while moving plenty of air. Generally the 140's are in the bottom of a top mount PSU. If the case has the PSU in the bottom....mount the PSU upside down. How does the p180 top fan match up to the CPU location? It may be where to put an intake fan-with the PSU the exhaust....and no other fans.
The SPCR P180 review has a sample build with a Phantom.
You'll definitely need a fan in the bottom chamber, otherwise you'll have no airflow in there at all. The Phantom needs a little bit of airflow to keep cool.
