Will I be able to...

install a Zalman CNPS7700-Cu on an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium motherboard within an Antec TX635 case? I'm wondering if the heatsink will clear the PSU.

I believe you can, but I doubt there will be much clearance, why didn't you look up the dimensions of the components?

I could do it for you, but I'm too lazy for that stuff

It will work on the motherboard. That's all that Zalman says.

Well I know the heatsink is 136mm (5.4") in diameter, which means I'd need about 2.7" clearance from the center of the CPU to the bottom of the PSU. How exactly that works out is a function partly of how the motherboard fits in the case, but more importantly, where the CPU socket is positioned on the motherboard. All I can tell is that it looks to be pretty close to the top edge of the board.

Would a close fit be a hindrance? I'm replacing the PSU with (most likely) a Seasonic S12-430. The rear fan in the case is a 120mm that may get replaced with a Nexus.

Plan B for the HS/fan would either be a Ninja or a Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu. The processor will be an Athlon 64X2 4400+ run at stock speed and voltage.

If Zalman says yes that would mean that the HS will not cross the boundaries of the mb. Now, the seasonic psu has a 120 mm intake fan on the bottom which, I guess, will suck up a large portion of the heat, that's great for cooling the CPU but I doubt it would do your psu any good and might ramp up a bit, but if you've read the review you may think it's not a big concern (at least I don't)
