Hi!

I got an old Voodoo 5 5500 video card with two small coolers, they are bit noisy, I think because of dust... How to clean?

Thanks!

compressed air

you can buy cans of it.

you need to fix the fans though, as if you blow the air over them you can damage the fan

Hello,

I've had good luck with using a vacuum, with a narrow plastic wand to concentrate the air flow.

Thanks!

But what do you mean that I need to "fix" the fans? It´s not broken.

By "fix" he means do something to stop them from spinning when you blast them with compressed air. (he's speaking "the queen's english" on his side of the pond) Letting the fan free-wheel from the compressed air can hurt it's bearings. You can just hold it in place with your finger.

I have a vacuum-cleaner extension with a small [hopefully antistatic] brush that works quite well, and hasn't killed anything yet. I think I got it in a general purpose computer, or do-it-your self store in the US.
