nForce4 SLi vs nForce 500 Series??

Post by xenithon » Sat Feb 24, 2007 8:07 am

Hi all. I am builing a new AM2 system and it needs to be first-and-foremost solid and stable. I can get for around the same price, either an nForce4 SLi motherboard (Asus M2N4-SLi) or the nForce 570 motherboard (Asus M2N-E). Is there any particular reason to go for the nForce 500 series over the nForce4 SLi series? Bear in mind:
- I won't be overclocking
- do not LAN/game much (so won't use the teaming and other associated features of the 500 series)

The reason why I am hesitant of the nForce 570 is that everywhere I have read, they are not known for being the most stable and are RAM-fussy (and also since I have very limited options, so the Asus are the only boards worth considering here). Is the nForce4 SLi (M2N4-SLi) a better choice for my setup? More stable?

Cheers,
X

PS. anyone know if the Ninja Rev. B fits on the M2N4-SLi?

The ATX power connector placement on the M2N4-SLI is ugly enough to make me skip it.
