I'm talking here about the original (noisy) 60 GB PS3.
I've made a couple of attempts at quieting this and the changes have helped, a little, but the thing is still unacceptably loud. What it really needs are a couple of larger top-down coolers to which I can attach some quieter fans. It has a solid mounting system, but it uses only two screws per processor, so I need coolers that both have large enough bases to cover the enormous Cell and graphics chips, and can be mounted this way.
Does anyone know of such a cooler? Or maybe know of someone who's already done this and posted their findings? I know I'm not the first.
