I've never upgraded a fan on a GPU before so I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
Anyhow, it's a teeny (45mm??) fan spinning in a sort of a cavity in the gpu heatsink, and it's bloody loud and responsible for 95% of the system's noise.
Can I replace this with something else? The heatsink itself is held to the GPU by two plastic spacer grommet thingies. I'll try to post a picture if my description was not clear enough.

Technology has advanced considerably since that card was made, and you can now buy a faster video card with passive cooling for less than $50.00.
