Best case which can accommodate the Zotac ION N330?

Hi Guys,

I'm considering buying the Zotac ION N330 - but I'm struggling to decide which case to buy.

The Zotac has an external PSU, so I don't want the case to have a PSU in it - this seems to be a rare find.

I've been eyeing up the Akasa Crypto - http://www.overclockershq.com/cases/aka ... z186X5dKRK

However it is let down by only supporting a 2.5" HDD - when ideally I would like to fit a 3.5" TB HDD.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Are you planning to run this fanless? The case may not be appropriate. You may get away with it if the case's opening does not impede air flow and is at the right place. If not and provided that the case's side holes are adequate, you might still get away with fanless operation if you position the case on the side. But your temperatures will probably be (very) high.
Good fanless cases look more like the M350 (pay logicsupply.com a visit). Maybe they have a case which would take a 3.5'' drive. But you'll probably need something even larger like that popular Lian Li ITX case if you want to suspend it.

I'm from the UK unfortunately - so we're a bit behind here!

I have ordered the case I mentioned above. The Zotac does come with a fan (see picture below) - I'll see what sort of feedback it gives - if it is noisy I'll remove it and either replace with a quieter fan, or monitor the temperatures and see what happens! It's not being kept in a cabinet or anything like that, so I would have thought it would probably be OK without a fan - other people certainly seem to get away with it. Can't wait till it arrives :D

Look at some of the In Win cases: http://www.in-win.us/products_pccase.php

I have one and it is attractive, allows for a 3.5 HDD and full-size optical drive depending on your heatsink.

While it comes with a 200w PSU with a loud fan I just took that out. Also, you can find them for pretty cheap.
