Hello,
I just made up my mind to make the switch to new sandy bridge aswell, heres what I thought off any advice is welcome.
CPU : I5-2500
CPU Cooler: I have the Prolima Megahalem (hoping it will fit)
Motherboard : Asus P8P67Pro
Ram: 4x2 kingston hyper X (have these from old PC)
PSU : Seasonic X750 (Have this one from old PC and was very happy how silent this baby is:x)
Gfx : MSI 6870 Twin frozr or Asus 6850 Directcu (both will do well with the games I play, my friend got the MSI 6870 and according to him its really quiet)
SSD : Corsair F120 (will use my Synology NAS for Data storage, might still get 2TB in the PC later on)
Case: Antec solo (I just love this case )
Fans : Dont know yet
If theres any mistakes I made or advice on lowering the noise level of the PC your free to say so
Thanks

The MSI 6870 is 10" long, can it fit in your case?
Re: A new year a new PC :D

I think I would go with the Asus 6850 Dcu many have said its quiet atleast I hope from what ive read;p

Re: A new year a new PC :D
yea it does fit even have some room left like 1.5cm :p
what I have been thinking about if the solo will have enough cooling with megahalem on the I5 2500 and one exhaust I think I should be more then fine? Most temps ive seen on the net are like 45°/50° load.
still thinking about the MSI or asus 6850 though :p

It would be fine (I assume there's a fan on the Prolimatech).

If I was spending $200+ on a drive, I'd go the extra $35 and get a Crucial C300 instead of the Sandforce based Corsair. No slow downs with compressed data.
