I'm building an HTPC/file server with the following specs and was wondering which picoPSU I should get.
Undervolted i5-2400 with stock HSF
2x4gb DIMMs DDR3 Patriot ram
ASUS P8H67-M EVO micro ATX
Hitachi 3.0TB SATA 5400 RPM
OCZ Vertex 2 SATA 60GB SSD
1x120mm fan
I was thinking about the 120W one but which power adapter should I get and where should I buy it.
Thanks!

Re: picoPSU power adapter for i5 build?
You'll probably be okay. Thanks to power gating, the i5 consumes about the same as the i3 at idle, and unless I misunderstand your intent here, I expect that those cores will never be fully-loaded. So long as you're not planning on a RAID-5 array with tons of drives, you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. I'm kind of confused on which power adapter to get. How come there's a 102W and a 60W?

I would say it's because they have a limited selection of premade OEM PSUs. When you consider that most laptop PSUs use higher voltages (18.5v is what I've seen a lot of), the selection of 12v supplies is limited.kevboy wrote:Thanks for the reply. I would imagine the 102w unit would cover you, but you will have to make sure to never heavily load all four cores of your i5.
You could also go and buy your own power adapter, so long as it outputs 12v.
