Scythe EU

Post by sexpot » Wed Jul 29, 2015 8:37 am

Hey guys, just wanted to give a shout out to Scythe EU. I have a kotetsu and needed an extra set of fan clips. I tried contacting Scythe USA and the rep said he wasn't able to give me replacements and suggested I use zip ties :(

Then I went to their website and found a contact info for Scythe EU. A few quick emails later, I had a new set sent to my home address for free!

Thank you very much Viktor Dillmann of Scythe EU customer support team, your help is greatly appreciated!

Great customer support! :)

But zip ties man, you got to love them as well. 8) I could not tell you how many fans I've mounted using zip ties.

I really think we should have some sort of ghetto appreciation thread in the General Gallery. The manner in which I mounted a 120mm Noctua fan to an old Zalman 7000AlCu deserves to be shared. Yep, cable ties.
Workhorse: i5 3570K, Asus Z77V-LX, Be Quiet Dark Power 550W, 8GB Corsair XMS, EVGA 970 SSC, Sammy 840 Pro 256GB, 1.5TB WD Green, Fractal R4, Noctua NHU12P. Dell 2312U, Dali Zensor 1 + Audioengine N22.

Movie/FLAC/Misc Box: E8500, P5QL-CM, 4GB Corsair XMS, 4850 512mb Vapor-X, Corsair 450VX, 64GB SanDisk Ultra II + 1.5 GB WD Green, Zalman 7000AlCu w/mod.

hot glue or silicon caulking also works well for fan mounting.
