Speak for yourself.... some of us like and need legacy ports, both parallel and serial. Better to have those options, even if some people don't use them.
Most people don't use them anymore. I haven't used a legacy port since 1998. Why not remove the legacy ports from the I/O panel and put them on optional expansion slot covers? That way they'd be gone for the majority of the users, and anyone who needs them could hook them up if necessary.
