Too much of a good thing?

There are so many heatpipes going so many which-ways on the upcoming Asus Nforce 680i motherboard that I can't even figure out what they're trying to do:

Is this going to improve thermal management inside a PC case? Even if this is the best mobo ever from SPCR's perspective is it worth $300?

Seems to be optimal placement of the fins if the boxed HSF is used. But I don't think it's a very good choise for the average Ninja lovin' SPCR reader.
