just saw this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813153077
JetWay J9F2-KHDE-PB Socket M
Intel 945GM
HDMI
Mini ITX Intel
never seen mention of it before in the news, and I'm a little wary of Jetway, but overall it looks like it has alot of features for the money (just uner $200)
dual lan
HDMI
2 x ram slots
mini-pci slot
d-sub and DVI
overall really not bad at all....... could be a good starting point for a home server/router/storage/wireless internet gateway/HTPC all wraped into one
if anyone tries it, please post experiences.
I'm assuming no overclocking but you never know

I don't think the 945 IGP can give smooth playback of HD contents (even at 1920x1080i), so it makes you wonder why they included an HDMI output. In addition, Jetway's product sheet does not have any mention of HDCP, so BR/HDDVD playback is out of the question.
It looks like the board could make a good server/router/firewall with its dual NIC. But the HDMI is really out of place.

You prefer $70 including the Intel CPU for your ITX mobo?jones_r wrote:$200 ?, holy cow !
$200 is pretty cheep for mini-itx boards. Its probably because jetway doesnt have the best track record.
You get a good board from a reputable company like Commell or some other industrial board maker, and you'll pay between $300-$400 on average.
My last mini-itx board from commell was around $320 i think.
As for this specific board, it doesnt have a PCI-e 16x slot, which is an automatic killer in my book. I'll probably build another ModT system again on the mini-itx form factor, but i'll always need that add-on video card.
