Thanks for the photos. I've been sticking to Intel's chipsets, but I used nVidia's on AMD platforms.

That ring of heatsinks is just awful. I'd bet it interferes with large CPU coolers, and GPU coolers that wrap around the back of the videocard. We need a standard for placement of the motherboard heatsinks, or at least a height maximum.

It seems that it doesn't interfere with larger sized heatsinks...at least not the Ninja...according to The Techreport

We were even able to squeeze a massive Ninja CPU heatsink onto the socket without interfering with the chipset cooler.

And BTW this will most likely be my next upgrade, together with another 8800GT...

So power-hungry and lacking in gigabit throughput but supports SLI and Nvidia trickery. I'll stick with Intel and reasonable 'sinks, thanks!

It's nice of them to mention the 9800 GX2, which in my mind has rendered SLI unnecessary for anyone but the craziest of the performance enthusiasts.
