Hi all,
Is anybody using the ASUS P5N7A-VM with the PicoPSU-120 ? If so, is it working for you?
Did you have to use the 20 to 24 pin adapter to fill the EATXPWR pins on the motherboard?
I am having a problem with this setup. My motherboard appears dead and I am wondering if I need the adapter. I have no hard disk installed, yet the system won't boot. No POST beeps, nothing.
I have Corsair RAM with the LED displays on top. The scrolling text appears normal with the exception of the clock speed which is listed as ZERO (0.00).
I went through the ASUS troubleshooting steps on the CMOS reset. Still doesn't work.
Any ideas?
thanks for any suggestions

For most boards, the extra 4 pins on the ATX connector aren't important and the board will function as normal with a 20-pin connector. Do you have the adapter for the ATX12V connector above the CPU? No modern board will work without it.
My friend is also using a PicoPSU, but on his Gigabyte 9400 board, with no problems.
