Intel Socket 1155 S1200BTS -- What is to be done with?

Would
- Intel Socket 1155 S1200BTS
be worth getting and tinkering with when offered for ~$16?

I'd say a working Intel 1155 server board is worth a lot more than $16.

I notice it doesn't support SATA 6Gbps.

-supports only i3 or e3 nothing more
-requires ECC RAM
-sports a "SM712GX04LF02-BA" SiliconMotion VGA-chip, haven't found any data about that one in a quick search
-only SATAII
-no USB3

This one was build with certain scenarios in mind, HPC and such. Personally i wouldn't tinker with it, even if i get it free. To severe are the restictions imho and we do not know if any PCIE graphics card is supported.

Otherwise priced at ~€160.

Noticed so too. ...Might via|through an interesting converter&driver though.

But it's not worth that much. I assume this was the launch price.

Are you planning to use this for a workstation?
Most small servers would not have much use for 6 Gbps (nor USB3, fancy graphics or non-ECC RAM). This is a *server* board people.
But why "interesting converter&driver"? Couldn't you simply use a decent HBA?
