Apple time capsule

Post by arknet » Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:47 am

How can I find the version of an apple time capsule? It's one of the large square flat ones. Trying to find if they are still firmware updated by Apple. And safe to leave connected as a media drive.

Thanks for the post but there are no markings on the casting which is why I cannot find the model number. I was hoping I can retrieve it from airport utility some how?

Sorry just read my original post which was not very clear. I do not know the model number but do know the firmware that it is running on, after which your Wikipedia post will help.

Sorry - I used up my google-fu. Perhaps another Time Machine user will step up.

I am sure it can be found using a key combination when using airport utility, but Google is hiding the answer...
