I'm actually more interested in seeing power consumption values for the Intel DH57JG and Zotac H55ITX-A-E.

Didn't find a Zotac vs Intel benchmark but I did find this:

Methinks the chipset itself isn't the culprit but rather the implementation?

I agree. H57 goes into higher end MBs which begets more VRM's which consume more power. Also, the default settings could very well be different.

None the less a good find because it reminds us to dot the i's and cross the t's in BIOS.

Seems like there have the same VRMs. One if a matx and the other an atx.

Thanks, that is exceedingly useful info. 11 watts is nothing to sneeze at, though perhaps 3 watts is.

Did you know that the H55 can talk to hard drives and SSDs only using IDE as opposed to ACHI. You need to go to the H57 to get this capability. Though I would guess that most builders of H55 board must add the capability in anyways (though probably at the cost of a few watts)

Now I need to translate this info into intelligent buying decisions.
